Wayward Bus

The Wayward Bus offers an exciting alternative travel option to
get you to our trekking base camp (and away again).
You can do this from either Adelaide or Alice Springs.
From Adelaide:
- Catch the Wayward Bus (departs Monday) to Coober Pedy, arrive
on a Tuesday.
- Spend Wednesday exploring Coober Pedy - opal fossicking, mine
tours, opal shopping, 'Crocodile Harry', Painted Desert, Scenic
Flights etc. etc.
- Thursday - Catch our transit service to camel trekking base
camp, departs 8.30am.
- THURSDAY pm - MONDAY (noon) - "Explore the Outback camel
safari"
- Monday - return Coober Pedy via our transit service (departs
base camp 2.30pm )
- Spend Tuesday exploring Coober Pedy.
- Wednesday - catch the north-bound Wayward Bus to Alice Springs,
arrives same day, or
- Wednesday - catch the south-bound Wayward Bus back to Adelaide,
takes 4 days to arrive Adelaide.
From Alice Springs
- Catch the Wayward Bus ex-Alice Springs on either Saturday, Monday
or Tuesday. In most cases the Monday and Tuesday departures will
work best.
- Spend Wednesday exploring Coober Pedy - opal fossicking, mine
tours, opal shopping, 'Crocodile Harry', Painted Desert,
Scenic Flights etc. etc.
- Thursday - Catch our transit service to camel trekking base
camp, departs 8.45am.
- THURSDAY pm - MONDAY (noon) - "Explore the Outback camel
safari"
- Monday - return Coober Pedy via our transit service (departs
base camp 2.30pm )
- Tuesday - catch the Wayward Bus heading south, 2 days to reach
Adelaide, or
- Wednesday - catch the Wayward Bus heading south, 4 days to reach
Adelaide.
