Unloading camel trek gear at end of day
Unloading the camels at the end of a day's travel is one of the
most enjoyable times on a camel trek.
The camels are quite used to the daily routine which never really
changes and they look forward immeasurably to the end of the day.
They sit down and chew their cud and lavish in the rubbing and jostling
as their gear is removed. They love the physical contact.
When it is all over the younger camels are the first to get up.
They just want to get away but the older camels sit around and wait
- for they know that this is the time when a friendly customer is
likely to be giving out carrot treats.
