Pink Roadhouse - Oodnadatta
Yes, it really is pink!
Prior to the arrival of Adam and Lynnie Plate into this country
in 1974 there was really only a marginal tourism interest in the
Oodnadatta Track. Adam and Lynnie recognised the potential for growth
and positioned themselves to service the industry as it grew. Thus
evolved the Pink Roadhouse.
Many years later and with many litres of pink paint adorning objects
and signposts across the country, the Pink Roadhouse has become
a world recognised icon of outback Australia. It is a must-see destination
as you travel the Oodnadatta Track.
